Playful Connections Coordinator

A Step Ahead is recruiting a fun-loving Playful Connections Coordinator to join our growing team of early support for infants and toddlers providers. Work with infants and toddlers and their caregivers in home, classroom and outdoor environments to improve their overall development skills. Servicing the Bethel, Franklin Pierce, Puyallup, and Eatonville School Districts, we offer a flexible and positive working environment, where you'll be part of a dynamic, committed multidisciplinary staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plans and implements playgroups field trips and family events that are developmentally appropriate

  • Provides services which are family–centered and relationship-based

  • Demonstrates sensitivity to linguistic, cultural, social, economic, individual and role differences among persons and families served

  • Maintains established work schedule, is punctual, keeps appointments, is willing to adapt schedule to meet unexpected needs and changes, uses time effectively

  • Uses independent judgment and discretion in setting daily priorities to complete tasks and meet deadlines

  • Responsible for creating a unique and positive experience with any interactions on behalf of the agency

  • Presents a positive and professional image for the organization.

  • Represents the organization’s mission and values

  • Manage and maintain accurate and thorough data capturing to maintain compliance via physical and digital filing systems

  • Always ensure positive and consistent communication

  • Works collaboratively with other staff and community partners

  • Works with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensures compliance with privacy policies and regulations

  • Engage and participate in all agency trainings and team events

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with infants/toddlers

  • Experience with special needs preferred

  • Proficient skills in MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, web-based databases.

  • Skills in Canva, Electronic Medical Records, and Text Marketing Communications preferred.

  • Pass Washington State criminal history and background check, as required.

  • Valid Driver’s License and proof of Auto Insurance via auto insurance declaration/binder.

  • Able to gain proficiency in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation

  • Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws.

  • Detail oriented and able to maintain consistency on repetitive tasks.

  • Able to mutli-task and handle changing priorities.

  • Able to collaborate and share responsibilities with projects and tasks.

  • Professional demeanor when interactive with others.
