After 23 incredible years of service, we are both honored and saddened to announce the retirement of Marti Cates, our longest tenured staff member at A Step Ahead. From the moment she joined us in 2002, Marti has been a shining star at A Step Ahead—through all the highs, the lows, and everything in between. Her dedication, passion, and tireless contributions have not only shaped our past but also paved the way for our future.
Marti’s legacy is especially seen in the beloved playgroups she pioneered, which continue to thrive and bring joy to so many. Her impact can be felt in every corner of A Step Ahead, and starting in the end of June (you didn’t think she’d leave without notice did you?), her presence in our hallway will be greatly missed by all.
As Marti embarks on this next chapter of her life, we want to express our deepest gratitude for her unwavering commitment and the remarkable mark she has left on this organization. While we will miss her dearly, we know that her influence will remain with us always.
